Reader Comment: Implementing blogging tips

Post image for Reader Comment: Implementing blogging tips

Loyal reader and subscriber of HowToMakeMyBlog.com, Rowell Dionicio, sent me a comment and I thought it might be a good idea to publish it as a post to motivate bloggers who read blogging tips to experiment and implement some of them into their own blogs.

Most of my blogging articles and tips are laid out as complete step-by-step details of what I do, how I do it and the thought process behind it. It is done that way so anyone can easily follow and replicate things I did.

The only question is are bloggers willing to put the investment of time, and the effort to apply the strategies. As Rowell’s email shows, it can bring some great results to implement things you have learned.

Reading Marko’s blog tips has increased my own blog’s potential. After being subscribed to howtomakemyblog.com I’ve increased my visits by 76%, pageviews by 73% and improved bouncerates by 8%. My RSS subscription feeds have skyrocketed up 416%.

Now you may be asking if these numbers are even true and I assure you.. they are.. but what are the odds that most readers just read Marko’s tips and don’t even implement them?

Most beginner bloggers enter the industry without much knowledge about blogging but Marko makes it simple for us by giving us tips such as which plugins to install. He’s also gone as far as telling us how to optimize our blogs by creating scannable content. After writing content based on his tips, two articles have quickly became among the top read posts.

On a social level, I’ve followed Marko on Twitter. He provided me with helpful tips on acquiring more followers and developing a larger network. I’ve always believed that if you really want to fulfill your goals you must surround yourself with like-minded people and Marko is one that I’ve chosen to follow and listen. Since reading his Twitter tips I’ve seen a 72% increase in Twitter followers over the past month. 806% in 3 months!

These are only a handful few tips I’ve taken from Marko and carried out to my blog. As we speak I’m working on creating a new niche blog and I look forward to implementing what I’ve already learned and any future tips I may receive.

If you’re just sitting there reading Marko’s blog, I highly suggest.. no, I firmly encourage you.. to implement his tips if you haven’t done so already. In a few weeks time you’ll reap the benefits of these tips.

What steps did you take to improve your blog and increase your readership lately?

Marko, I took your advice and applied the THESIS theme. This helped me gain more RSS readers and improved my blog both in usability, friendliness and SEO

    Thanks.

Thanks for the very useful info you provide here. I downloaded some of the plugins you suggested. When I went to install them I realized that my blog does not display correctly on Internet Explorer. I’ll work on that and then come back to keep reading your blog.
    Thanks again!
