by

Previously we have discussed commenting on relevant blog posts as a good way of building your blog awareness and building traffic to your blog site. Another simple way of increasing blog awareness, getting more inbound links and increasing number of visitors to your blog is to include outbound links to other blogs in your blog posts.

When you include links to relevant posts from other blogs in your own blog articles, these will shows in WordPress dashboard of other bloggers. Seeing another blogger link to their blog post gets the attention of the blogger. It results in the blogger most likely stopping by to visit your blog and read your blog post, eager to see what the article is about and why you linked to them.

Depending on the quality and usefulness of the content of your blog, this may lead the other blogger to become a loyal reader of your blog, subscribe to your blog, comment on your blog and even link back to your blog from their future posts.

So a simple tip if you want to get the attention of other bloggers is to write reference to their blog posts and include outbound links to them in your own blog articles.

This technique will improve your relationship with other bloggers. It will improve the usability of your blog to your visitors as you guide them to other relevant articles that might help them. It will get you a higher number of visitors and a higher number of comments on your blog.

Last, but not least, it will increase a number of relevant inbound links to your blog and that will help improve your search engine rankings.
