What is a blog RSS news feed?

RSS blog news feed allows your blog visitors to see when you have added new content to your blog. Your blog visitors can get the latest blog content from you, as soon as its published, without having to visit your blog site.

This is great as your blog visitors will be getting your most recent blog posts in their RSS reader, without having to visit your blog. RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’ and it is a modern day bookmark or a newsletter.

In general, the only thing your visitors need to get your RSS blog feed is something called a RSS news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new blog articles that have been added.

There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. My recommended RSS news reader is NewsGator for online reading, NetNewsWire for Mac, and FeedDemon for Windows.

Check out the RSS feed from HowToMakeMyBlog.com by subscribing to http://www.howtomakemyblog.com/feed/ in your favorite RSS news reader.
