Offer more options to subscribe to your blog content

by

We have previously looked at the RSS news feed and why it was important to set it up on your own blog. For the blogger demographic or early adopters, RSS news feeds are desired, but for the broad consumer audience, business managers or soccer moms, email newsletters are still the preferable choice.

Most webmasters and bloggers know what RSS is, but depending on your blog’s target audience, you might have many visitors who do not know what RSS news feed is and who do not use it and do not plan to start using it. For those of your blog readers, it is important to give them a chance to subscribe to receive emails with your newest blog content. Similar to the RSS feed, it is also possible to send out your complete blog content to your subscribers automatically via email.

So give your biggest blog fans another way to keep up with your blog by placing an email subscription form on your blog site. Similar to the way to setup your blog RSS news feed, Feedburner also offers the option of email updates. It is a free service, with a very simple setup process.
