How To Install WordPress Blogging Software

WordPress is well known for its ease of installation. Under most circumstances installing WordPress is a very simple process and takes less than five minutes to complete. The following installation guide will help you installing WordPress blogging software onto your web hosting. Here’s the quick guide:

1. Download and unzip the WordPress package, if you haven’t already.
2. Create a database for WordPress on your web server, as well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it.
3. Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php in the WordPress folder.
4. Open wp-config.php in your text editor and fill in your database details.
5. Place the WordPress files in the desired location on your web server
6. Run the WordPress installation script from: http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/install.php

That’s it! WordPress should now be installed and you are ready to start blogging.

If you have any problems with the installation, please check here for the detailed instructions from WordPress.
