Just to clarify, basically, you use the code for the affiliate program and embed it into a link as part of the review article. Remove the banner ads since they don’t get much PPC. But, essentially, when people click on the embedded affiliate link they are using PPC and you are getting paid for their click? Is that what you are saying?

Great informative post.

These are very good and effective methods. It proves that people can make money with affiliate programs and you’ve just proven how to do it.

I just bought Thesis a few days ago and I will surely try your technique out. I just hope to make my money back. Nothing outrages, just enough

As I write this, I have already made one sale from my affiliate link and hoping to make more. I must admit that Thesis affiliate program payouts are huge, the 33% is just over $28 now and thats amazing that they want to give us so much.

Thanks Marko. I’ll have to read your article on creating content constantly, because that’s probably my failing point. I guess that’s why I have 3 – 4 blogs but I may have too many irons in the fire. However after a few months of blogging on different topics I’m noticing which ones are winners (get hits, hold interest) and which ones I should just regluate to the back drawer of my hobbies and not be too concerned about “monetizing” them and just do them because I enjoy them.

@Rick Henderson – Thanks for nice comments. I switched to Thesis and wrote the first article about it on same day: December 19th 2008. I didn’t write another Thesis article until January 29th 2009. And I made my first sale on December 31st 2008. So I guess I wouldn’t look too much into theories and just work on it oganically. Write the best you can, promote best you can, and hopefully it will progress the way you want it… good luck with your blogs!

Another great article Marko. I see your blog as step in a process that I would like to work towards… some day I could have a blog like yours! I just need to write more apparently. I have written an article on my first experiences with Thesis and its my top post at the moment.

I recently read that it takes about 7 exposures for a potential buyer to become a buyer. How many Thesis articles did you write before you started seeing some purchases? (If you don’t mind me asking).

I love the Thesis Themes. They really are very beautiful and functional. I am going to switch to using these with most of my new niche blogs and promote the affiliate program also.
